To get a soft sensation that carries you through tough miles, Mizuno have used an insert of their softest foam in the Wave Skyrise 5. Enerzy Core sits in the heel to absorb, squish, and propel you forward, with ease.

A half length wave system through the heel has an exaggerated 3D geometry that not only looks great, but improves deformation on impact, again helping to give a soft, cushioned feel on impact. From the midfoot forward, a more conventional construction is used to generate pace and power through the late stage of your stride.

A smooth, stretch woven upper manages to both adapt to your foot shape and help keep your foot in position by giving left to right, but maintaining its hold forward to back.

By using a wider outsole, Mizuno have improved stability, while a new decoupled heel design improves shock absorption and helps provide a smooth transition.
